I am a director in the firm and practice in the areas of criminal, family and Maori Land and treaty of Waitangi law. I was born in Tauranga and affiliated to Ngaiterangi, Ngati Ranginui and Ngati Pukenga. I am also affiliated to Ngati Whakaue in Rotorua.
I have two sons with my partner, one attending the School of Medicine at Auckland University, and one attending Te Kura Kaupapa Maori Te Koutu in Rotorua.
I am also a Youth Advocate for the Rotorua area and appear regularly in the Rotorua Youth Court and the Rangatahi Court for youth offenders as well. I am passionate about Maori criminal justice and land rights.
I studied at Waikato University and was admitted to the Bar in 2000. I represent a number of Maori land Trusts either as a trustee or as a legal representative.
